The O.R.E.O. Project
|
Mrs. Ludwig's class will be participating in the O.R.E.O.- (which stands for Our Really Exciting Online) Project.
This is the 14th year this project has been hosted by a teacher in southern California. Students from all over the US, Canada and several other countries have done the same project in their classrooms and then shared data with other participating classes. Each student in the classroom will have two chances to stack OREOS. Specific rules and regulations will be explained so that everyone is following the project guidelines! After everyone has had their turns, we will start using our math skills to determine the data we need to submit to the project. Besides stacking cookies, we will be applying what we know about mean, median and mode and also writing about our results on our blog. I bet our class photographer will get some great shots during this project!
I am also predicting that some fourth graders are going to be enjoying some OREOS after the work is done. Check back with us after September 16th because that is the opening day of this great online project. We will keep you posted as to when our class will be actually stacking, counting and collecting data. Stay tuned!
