This summer was a busy time for me. I spent a lot of time reading great books, training my husband's new puppy, working in my classroom and relaxing on the beach with my daughters. I also helped my son move to Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he started a new job.
This is Tommy. He is 5 years old and weighs 5 pounds.
READ, READ, READ
I read between 20-25 middle grade books this summer. I can't really pick a favorite although I really enjoyed The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate, PIE by Sarah Weeks and Wonder by RJ Palacio. What have you read this summer?
And then READ some more!
While we were on vacation I read a great book called, What the Dog Saw, by Malcom Gladwell. It took me all week to finish. I really would like to read it again when I have time. It was that good!
About Mrs. Ludwig
I have been teaching for 32 years, the last 27 have been in Byron. I have taught 3rd grade, 2nd grade, 1st grade, K-2 Academically Talented, and most recently was the technology integrationist at Mary Morgan. I am very excited to be teaching 4th grade and continuing my work with the 1-1 computer program. I am married to Jeff Ludwig who works for the City of Byron and is also a beekeeper. We have three grownup kids, Caitlin, Nick and Elizabeth. Elizabeth goes to college at Illinois State University. We also have two dogs named Tommy and Ozzie. They are both Morkies and are very small. They are a lot of fun to play with and always have a lot of energy. In my spare time I enjoy the beach, photography, reading and spending time with friends and family.
